Today our teacher showed us Japanese 天ぷら (tempura). We didn’t know there were so many kinds! Have you ever eaten 天ぷら?

天ぷら (tempura) is a Japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and fried. The most well-known type of tempura in other countries is shrimp tempura. However, Japanese also have other types of seafood and vegetable tempura.

This is 天丼 (Ten-don). It is made with tempura and sauce over rice!

There is also a type of udon called 天ぷらうどん (tempura udon).
