★ Today’s Japanese phrase is いいね! (ii ne)!
★ いいね! means “That’s good!” or “That’s nice!”.
★ You can use it in response to something that someone says, that you like.
★ For example:
A: 沖縄に行ってきたよ。(Okinawa ni ittekita yo.)
“I just got back from Okinawa.”
B: いいね!(ii ne!)
“That’s nice!”
★ To make this expression more formal, just add です (desu).
★ いいですね! (ii desu ne!)
★ Did you know? いいね!is used the same way on Japanese Facebook as “Like” is on English Facebook.
