★　It can also be written using katakana: ツルツル

★　For example, 私のお祖父さんの頭はつるつるです (watashi no ojiisan no atama wa tsuru tsuru desu) – “My grandfather’s head is smooth.” In Japanese, if you say someone’s head is つるつる you can be sure that they are bald. However, you can also use it for other parts of the body wherever you have smooth skin.
